Shepway Harness Club Newsletter - May/June 2008
News, Passed Events
The
season got off to a good start for members with the Driving Assessment in March
with six members passing.
In
April Margaret and Harry Wooding hosted a hilarious day with filly members
painting equipment inside an outbuilding, with, I am afraid to say not all the
paint ending up at the required destination.
The
Stallions were outside in the rain, sorting out equipment, which had to be
unloaded sorted - mended and maintenance work carried out. We broke for lunch,
passing Harry, happy it seemed to B.B.Q. in the rain, we dropped him off a
couple of bottles of wine and went into the house and presented Margaret with
some flowers. The dining room was beautifully prepared, and we had a
three-course dinner of delicious food with wine, cool drinks tea or coffee.
Thank you Margaret and Harry and all the helpers..
The
painting had been finished by lunchtime, and there was just a bit more to be
done with the equipment, a necessary and satisfactory day, thank you to
everyone who came and helped.
The
Dressage and Cones Day was a great success for all who entered with pre novice,
novice, medium and open horses/ponies all behaving well, and the weather
managing to stay dry. A big thank you to all who helped in whatever capacity.
We are very lucky that Vanessa of Box Hill House allows us the use of her farm;
half of all fees go to one of Vanessa's charities
